Pusong Pinoy Partylist allocates P1M for Bataan’s Blood Samaritan Program

BALANGA CITY, Bataan — Pusong Pinoy Partylist Representative Jett Nisay, held a productive meeting with the Board of Directors of the Philippine Red Cross Bataan Chapter on January 16 in Balanga City, Bataan.

As Chairman of the Board, Cong. Jett Nisay, together with Red Cross Chapter Administrator Charlie Gatbunton, highlighted the achievements of ongoing programs and projects in Bataan. Key initiatives discussed included blood services, health caravans, safety and disaster services, and other vital health programs spearheaded by the Red Cross.

One of the main agenda items was the allocation of P1 million this year for the Blood Samaritan Program, an initiative providing free blood bags to Bataan residents in need, especially dialysis patients and those admitted to private hospitals. Since 2023, the program has received a total funding of P3 million, benefiting numerous families across the province.

The meeting was also an opportunity to strengthen camaraderie among the Red Cross Bataan team, with Board of Directors in attendance, including Isabel Garcia, Aurea Parbo, Adel Nuestro, Cynthia Balan, Aida Lopez, Niña Salvador, Orly Dela Peña, Architect Nick Rubiano, Engineer Edwin Zaldivar, Mario Suguitan, and Barangay Captain Joey De Leon.

“We remain committed to delivering impactful programs and services to the people of Bataan. The health and welfare of every Bataeño remain our top priority,” said Cong. Nisay during the meeting.
